Whereas many Hydraulic motors display starting torque characteristics as low as 60% theoretical, recent in house testing at our manufacturing base in Italy, confirmed that the latest version of the GM Series Hydraulic Motors consistently returned results better than 90%.
The tests, which were carried out at the request of a new potential customer, pitted the SAI 300 cc motor, head to head, with one of a similar capacity, produced by possibly the best known Hydraulic Motor Manufacturer. The SAI figure at start up was as stated above, whereas that of the competitor was just 65%.
In future, SAI has become the first choice of this particular customer.
This remarkable performance is mainly due to the innovative use of roller bearings in the area where most suffer highest losses, namely the eccentric area of the crankshaft. A further inherent ability of the design allows the Motors to be run under negative pressure situations and in virtual free wheel conditions.
