Dual Displacement Radial Piston Hydraulic Motors

  
 

The new range of Dual Displacement Radial Piston Hydraulic Motors from SAI, offers Low Speed controllability and performance, down to "creep" speed, coupled with High Speed running capabilities of up to 3500 RPM in certain sizes.

 

The high Starting and Running Torques produced across the full Speed range, as normally associated with Radial Piston Motors, can now be combined with High Speed Running all within one relatively light and compact unit. The Motor's added ability to operate in the "Free Wheel" mode makes it ideally suited to Winch applications as well as to both On and Off-Highway Transmissions.

 

Two ranges, known as the "BD" (BD1 pictured) and the "GD" series, give displacement combinations ranging from 25 to 1848 cc/rev, with variation ratios of approximately 2:1, 3:1 and 4:1. Switching from Large to Small Displacement is achieved by simply applying 20 Bar Pressure to the Pilot Port. This alters the throw of the Crankshaft Eccentric and hence the geometric Displacement. If required, the changeover operation can be carried out dynamically resulting in a smooth transition from Slow to High Speed.

 

This newly released product line is the result of some 10 year's of continuous development and testing in SAI's own R & D Division, as well as lengthy Field Trials in the most arduous of conditions.
